Addition to Wording of School Act Section 8.5(3), Purpose and Operation of District Parents' Advisory Council

That BCCPAC urge the Ministry of Education to add “With appropriate notice,” and “The proportion of the meeting attended by the above will be determined by the DPAC” to the wording of Section 8.5(3), Purpose and Operation of District Parents’ Advisory Council, to (or similar changes of wording that would provide DPACs the autonomous intent of this resolution) reflect DPAC autonomy: “With appropriate notice, a superintendent of schools for the school district, a designate of the superintendent or a trustee of the school district may attend any meeting of the district parents’ advisory council. The proportion of the meeting attended by the above will be determined by the DPAC.”
