Development of a Policy on Policies

Be it resolved that the membership direct the BCCPAC Board of Directors to make available to member all policies that govern or impact member activities, participation with BCCPAC or interactions with BCCPAC or other member.

Further, that Policy 1000 is updated by a member driven working group to address/include (but not limited to) the following considerations:

1. Notification Requirements – Minimum notice period for informing members of policies scheduled for ratification at an Annual General Meeting (AGM) or Special General Meeting (SGM);
2. Scope of Ratification – Clarification of whether all new or amended organizational policies require member ratification, or only those that pertain to or contain provisions that directly impact member rights, responsibilities, or activities; and
3. Effective Dates – Specification of whether new or amended policies take effect immediately upon adoption by the Board and require subsequent ratification by the membership to remain in force, or whether they only come into effect following ratification at an AGM or SGM.

Be it further resolved that this policy be presented to the membership for review and ratification at the next AGM or a Special General Meeting convened for that purpose.
