Disqualification of Board Employees

BCCPAC request the Minister of Education to propose an amendment to Section 34 of the School Act, Disqualification of Board employees as follows;

Section 34 of the School Act sets out that an employee of a board of education is disqualified from being nominated for, being elected to or holding office as a trustee on any board of education, unless the employee takes a leave of absence while running for office and resigns from the position of employment if elected
