Stabilizing Teacher/Student Class Assignments for September Startup

That BCCPAC lobby the Ministry of Education, the BC Teachers’ Federation, the BC Public School Employers’ Association and other educational partners to review policies, contract language and practices to ensure that students are assigned to permanent teachers and programs no later than the end of the first week of school. Future employee group contract language should reflect that the movement of students beyond this date is not permissible; And that BCCPAC work with partner groups to ensure that all possible measures are taken to ensure staffing levels are in place prior to the start of school in September.
