Replacing all Reading Programs to Align with the Science of Reading

Be it resolved that BCCPAC advocate to the Ministry of Education and Childcare for policy and targeted funding coming from the Ministry, for a curriculum change so that structured literacy (“the science of reading”) is used in all mainstream classrooms and special education settings.  Also to provide Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions and includes evidence based screeners beginning in kindergarten.
