Purpose of This Toolkit

This toolkit is designed to help PACs and DPACs across BC inform parents and caregivers about two important BCCPAC opportunities:

How to Use This Toolkit:

  1. Share on Social Media – We’ve provided sample social media posts for each event. You can copy these posts directly or adjust them to fit your PAC or DPAC’s tone and style. Sharing these posts on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram will help reach parents and caregivers interested in parent advocacy.
  2. Include in Newsletters and Emails – Use the provided email template to inform parents and caregivers about these events. You can include this information in your regular newsletter or send it as a dedicated email to your school community.
  3. Use the Graphics with alternative text – We’ve included links to graphics to visually enhance your posts and make them more engaging. Graphics can be uploaded with each social media post or added to your email communications. Alternative text should be added to the image for accessibility.
  4. Encourage Registration and Nominations – Let parents and caregivers know that both opportunities are open to anyone who belongs to a BCCPAC member school in good standing. Encourage them to register for the Virtual Membership Summit and consider running in the By-Election.

Why This Matters:

The Virtual Membership Summit is an opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn, connect, and make their voices heard, while the By-Election offers a chance to contribute directly to BCCPAC’s leadership. By promoting these opportunities, you’re helping build a stronger, more connected community of parent advocates across BC.

  2. Encourage your school community to tag other parents or caregivers who may be interested.
