Student Records

That BCCPAC advocate for processes, policies and/or legislation that provides for the following with respect to student records:

Parents immediately receive a copy of the following materials by mail, email or in person when added to a student record:

• Student Learning Plans
• Individual Education Plans
• Formal or informal assessments relating to any type of learning disability or designation
• Student Behaviour Management Plans
• Student Safety Plans
• Documents critical of a student or in the nature of discipline

Student and Parents are provided an opportunity to attach a written rebuttal to any material critical of a student and any such rebuttal will be added to the student records
