We have secured a limited number of standard rooms at the Pacific Gateway Hotel in Richmond at a special BCCPAC conference rate (from $159 per night), provided you secure your room(s) on or before April 10th. Please note that any other room type is subject to availability.

Each guest must register for their room by using the hotel’s online system with Group Code 1269974. Remember to book your room(s) soon before they are sold out.

Airport Shuttle

Pacific Gateway Hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from YVR Airport which runs automatically every 20 minutes, 24/7. Shuttle ride is approximately 5-7 minutes

  • Airport to Hotel: After you retrieve your luggage and exit the luggage pick up area, follow the signage to the Courtesy Shuttle pickup. This area is located at the base of the escalator and out the sliding doors to the left.
  • Hotel to Airport: The shuttle runs on a set schedule every 20 minutes from the hour. The hotel recommends you arrive in the lobby approximately 30-minutes prior to the time that you would like to be at the airport. The YVR Airport Authority suggests you arrive at the airport at least 1 hour prior to departure time for flights within Canada. There is no prior booking required for our airport shuttle.

The hotel is within 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver and 5 minutes from the McArthurGlen Designer Outlets. Shopping, dining, and entertainment are only a short distance away with their convenient access to public transportation and rideshare programs. See the local guide to amenities in the area.

Travel Subsidies

We are pleased to once again offer some cost-relief towards transportation for members to attend the Conference and AGM.


One (1) travel subsidy for a DPAC executive, or their designated representative, is available to each eligible district.

Subsidy Exceptions

The following districts do not have a significant distance or expense to travel and therefore are not eligible to claim the travel subsidy:

District # 35 - Langley District # 39 - Vancouver District # 43 - Coquitlam
District # 36 - Surrey District # 40 - New Westminster District # 44 - North Vancouver
District # 37 - Delta District # 41 - Burnaby District # 45 - West Vancouver
District # 38 - Richmond District # 42 - Maple Ridge / Pitt Meadows

How to Apply

To apply for a Travel Subsidy, the DPAC Chair, or their designated representative, must complete our online form no later than June 4, 2019.

Only the most economical travel arrangements will be reimbursed. For example, depending on airfare prices and distance, it may be more economical to fly to Vancouver than to drive. Please book your trip accordingly.

Eligible Expenses

  • Air/Bus Travel: Subject to approval based on the most economical travel arrangements.
  • Shuttle/Taxi: There is a free airport shuttle from the Vancouver Airport to the conference venue. No taxi receipts will be accepted for travel to and from the Vancouver Airport.
  • Ferry Fees: Receipts must be submitted. Only the vehicle expense and passenger fee for the eligible attending delegate will be reimbursed.
  • Private Vehicle: Reimbursement at $0.50 per kilometre from delegate home address to conference venue only, based on Google Maps and only when driving is more economical than other means of transport. Delegates are encouraged to carpool.
