Funding for non-designated students in need

Inclusive Education

That BCCPAC urge the Ministry of Education to mandate School Districts to pre-screen all new and Kindergarten students as well as providing ongoing appropriate assessment for all students, as needed, including for learning and behavioural challenges, so that students who qualify for Ministry funding and/or IEP’s can be formally assessed, have designations put in place, and have learning interventions implemented in a timely manner.  And that Ministry of Education is to work with other appropriate ministries to ensure adequate funding for this initiative.
