JobFest 2012August 3, 2012

Author: Webmaster

JobFest 2012 is currently at the halfway point of its 52-stop spring-to-fall tour of northern and southern B.C. And it’s coming to your town! A JobFest event is a great opportunity for youth in your area to start thinking about and planning their future career paths. As an educator, we hope you’ll help us spread the word about this exciting event.

Created through the provincial Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation, JobFest is designed to get youth excited about their future career options. The tour delivers labour market information and showcases a number of career exploration tools developed by the Ministry.

At the event, visitors are introduced to career options through face-to-face discussions with event presenters and guest speakers. They also have a chance to try out interactive career tools and access career information. Live rock bands and performers, both locals and headliners, provide entertainment throughout the day. In addition to other JobFest giveaways, visitors receive a DVD of career information and resources for continued career exploration at home and school.
