BCCPAC By-Election 2017
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce a call for nominations to fill the following three vacancies on the Board:

Treasurer & Director
This follows our bylaws, section 5.17 (b): If three or more vacancies in the Board arise at the same time more than 150 days before the annual general meeting, the remaining Board members shall call for a by-election to fill the vacancies. The by-election shall be conducted by a special mail out to all voting members calling for nominations, followed by voting by fax or surface mail in a timely manner to be determined by the Board.
Candidates must have a child in the K-12 public school system in BC and be from a member PAC with the nomination form signed by two executives of their PAC or DPAC.
The by-election timeline has been updated from the announcement at the 2017 AGM held on May 6 and 7 to allow for more time to consider running for the Board. Here is the by-election timeline:
Wednesday May 31 – nomination deadline: all forms must be at the BCCPAC office by 11:59 pm
Friday June 2 – Nomination Booklet with Candidates’ information will be available for members via our website
Monday July 3 – ballots must be submitted by this date in order to be counted in the by-election: a by-election package will be mailed to all voting members with instructions on how to fill out and return the ballots
Friday July 14 – the Board will announce the by-election results to the members
Successful Candidates will be able to submit a 3-minute video speech which will be posted on our website. This is not required, but is a great way to connect with voting members to express your desire for running for the board. This will be in addition to the required write up that should accompany the nomination form.
